How do you do it?
3D HIFU facelift (High Intensity Focused Ultrasound) is a non-surgical technology which offers brow lifting, jowl lifting, nasolabial fold reduction, periorbital wrinkle reduction and overall skin tightening and rejuvenation. HIFU has quickly become one of the most sought after non-surgical face lifting treatments with the need for only one session, with no downtime and results which can last up to 2 years.
When you have this treatment, ultrasound energy is used to stimulate the deep layers which support the skin, in doing so it creates a lifted, more taut appearance and stimulates the body to produce collagen, giving you a youthful glow.
What is involved?
HIFU uses focused ultrasound energy to target the layers of skin just below the surface. The ultrasound energy causes the tissue to heat up rapidly. Once the cells in the targeted area reach a certain temperature, they experience cellular damage, the damage actually stimulates the cells to produce more collagen, the increase in collagen results in tighter firmer skin, with fewer wrinkles.
Since the high-frequency ultrasound beams are focused on a specific tissue site below the skin’s surface, there’s no damage to the upper layers of the skin and adjacent issue.

HIFU stands for ‘High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound’ and it is a non-surgical facial treatment that uses ultrasound to lift the facial muscles and tone loose or sagging skin on the face and body
HIFU deposits focused ultrasound energy below the surface of the skin, contracting the facial layer and stimulating the creation of new collagen in the area. HIFU is highly effective in toning and lifting the skin and muscles of the face.
HIFU is a non-invasive procedure that addresses the skin and supports the underlying layers without cutting or disrupting the surface of the skin.
Due to the non-invasive nature of HIFU treatments, there is no downtime from the procedure. You’ll be able to return to your normal day to day life straight away.
Some clients do enjoy immediate i effects; however, the ultimate lifting and toning results will take place over the following 2 to 3 months. During this time, old collagen is replaced with new collagen that has a higher level of elasticity. As the collagen-building process continues, you may see further improvements up to 6 months after the procedure.
Everyone’s pain threshold is different, you may experience slight discomfort while the ultrasound energy is delivered it’s a positive sign that the process is working. We can discuss this in more detail if you have any concerns and a pain killer could be given before the treatment.
You may experience slight redness for up to an hour following the treatment, and a small percentage of our clients do experience minor swelling and tenderness. These symptoms are temporary. We will put a cooling face mask on, after Your treatment to take some redness out of your skin before you leave.
HIFU it is a safe option for clients who don’t consider themselves ready for a facelift. HIFU can also prolong the effects of cosmetic surgery and be used as a preventative measure against ageing.
Depending on what the treatment is targeting. a full face treatment typically takes 60 -90 minutes, and a partial face or brow treatment will take 45-60 minutes. Every client is different and. we will be able to tell you in more detail at your consultation.
A good candidate for HIFU is someone with skin that is less Firm. Typically, those in their thirties and older who have mild to moderate skin laxity are good candidates for HIFU.
Following the HIFU treatment, clients will still have fresh, young collagen for over a year. This can continue for another year, depending on the condition of the skin. Further treatments can help, this varies by individual and a skin care plan can be put in place for you from chemical peels to our Alumier skincare range.
HIFU addresses mild to moderate loose or sagging skin. HIFU will lift the brow, opening up the eyes, and giving an overall refreshed look, tightening of the jaw is also very popular making the jaw line tighter giving a more defined jawline. Additionally, HIFU is effective for the face, neck, chest, arms, elbows, tummy, inner thighs and knees.
The majority of clients only need one treatment; however, some may benefit from more than one treatment. This depends on how much laxity they have and their body’s response to the treatment, again this will be assisted in your consultation.
