What is involved?

This treatment is administered in two sessions a month apart, with optimal results after the second treatment. Clients can then expect to see visible results, increased firmness, elasticity and overall rejuvenated skin for up to six months.
 
Profhilo is different to dermal fillers as Profhilo has the highest concentration of hyaluronic acid on the market and works by distributing and integrating itself evenly within your skin’s tissue rather than remaining in one place. There are only ten injection points needed on the face due to the product’s high spread ability.

Profhilo® is composed of highly pure hyaluronic acid. However it is not a Dermal filler. Profhilo is a patented product manufactured by the world’s leading medical producers of hyaluronic acid by HA Derma.
 
Profhilo® is the only product which acts to stimulate all four types of collagen and elastin. Perhaps it is best-described as a ‘bio-rejuvenator’, ‘bio-revitaliser’ or ‘tissue-stimulator’ and these terms are catching on as aesthetic medicine moves in a new direction.

Profhilo® is currently the only product capable of stimulating your natural production of all four types of collagen and elastin – these vital substances which are lost from the skin as we age. So it can effectively cure certain kinds of wrinkles from within the skin, by boosting and utilising your natural processes.

During the Profhilo® treatment we inject the product using very fine needles in ten specific points on the face. It allows the treatment to be effective and simple, reducing the chance of pain and bruising.
Once it is injected, Profhilo immediately starts spreading due to the high concentration of hyaluronic acid, It flows and distributes itself evenly, rather than remaining where it is placed, naturally and without resistance integrating within your skin’s existing tissue.
Profhilo® is especially effective at treating loose skin in the neck, cheek and jowls as well as other areas usually considered difficult to treat with injectable products, such as the:

Such side effects will only be mild and redness will appear for some time such as erythema (redness), pain, itching, discolouration or tenderness at the injection site.

For most patients, we recommend an initial course of two treatment sessions, with an interval of one month between sessions. We may then recommend top-up and maintenance sessions, depending on your body’s response to the initial treatment.
 
Some patients may need 3 sessions depending upon the severity of the volume loss.
You should notice the results of the treatment increased firmness, elasticity and an overall improved quality of your skin lasting around six months.
 
However, other factors can affect the results, including the degree of correction needed, your age and lifestyle and your skin’s natural ageing process.
